One of the first project milestone was reached at Remontowa Shipyard the 20th of April with the steel cutting ceremony of the LMG 60-DEH / B617/1-2. Remontowa shipyard is building these two innovative vessels of LMG 60-DEH type simultaneously with a planned delivery in London in quarter three 2018.

According to Mark Willbourn from Briggs Marine in charge with the vessel’s operation :
“I am very pleased to have started the steel cutting for the two new ferries for Woolwich for Transport for London, operated by Briggs, and I am very pleased to see this underway. These will be the first diesel-electric battery-hybrid vessels in London, and will lead the way to low emissions in London.”
