PIETRO MONDELLO inaugurated in Messina!
On Friday December 20th Caronte & Tourist Group inaugurated its newest ferry in Messina.
PIETRO MONDELLO is the newest and the most advanced ferry to serve across the Messina Strait.
It can accommodate 1200 passengers and 290 cars or 35 freight units.
The ferry is a near sister to 2018-built ELIO also designed by LMG Marin but brings in major improvements such as a 2034 kWh battery-pack or retractable thrusters for instance.
LMG Marin wish safe seas and fair winds to this new addition to the Caronte & Tourist fleet.
